I absolutely adore the sweet rom-coms that Sarah Ready writes, and Love, Artifacts, and You might just be my favorite addition to the Soul Mates in Romeo series. With action, adventure, and archeology, Love, Artifacts, and You harkens back to my childhood fantasies of being a relic hunter like Lara Croft or Sydney Fox and I could not put this one down.

Ten years ago, Andrew and Emma were teenagers, following their parental figures across the globe from dig site to dig site, searching for lost treasures. But then the unthinkable happened, and Emma and Andrew lost each other. Now, with a new dig site in Romeo, New York (and a little help from Miss Erma), Andrew and Emma have been reunited and the chemistry has never been hotter. From temples in South America to caves in Romeo, NY, this world-spanning fated mates romance brings the passion for life and love.

I think Love, Artifacts, and You is my favorite Sarah Ready book to date. Ready hit us hard and fast with the romance and the action in this one, and I absolutely loved that Emma and Andrew knew they were it for each other really early on - no more denying it, or refusing to accept it until the very end of the book. And because of this, Love, Artifacts, and You got steamy pretty early on compared to the other Soul Mates in Romeo books. It was really nice to see Ready changing up the soulmates formula that so many other books with the fated mate trope use.

As always, a Sarah Ready book is easy to get lost in; I start reading and immediately get lost in the adventure. This book, especially, pulled me in as Ready visited different locales and created a much bigger sense of adventure and danger with the two main characters being archeologists. While we’ve visited other cities in the Soul Mates in Romeo series prior to this, it feels like Love, Artifacts, and You has a much bigger, expansive setting, and I love seeing this series grow (both in setting and number of books in the series).

The plot was enjoyable and exciting, the romance was hotter than ever, and it’s great to see Miss Erma at it again. While Love, Artifacts, and You can be enjoyed as a standalone, the story is very much enriched from having read at least some of the previous Soul Mates in Romeo titles as you will run into some familiar characters in this latest novel.

If you’re looking for some escapism, adventure, and romance, definitely check out Love, Artifacts, and You
