[ARC Review] My Rogue to Ruin by Erica Ridley
Publisher's synopsis: Marjorie Wynchester has always let her siblings take the lead when it comes to planning their investigations. But someone in London is trying to pass off counterfeits, and this time she's the only one with the skill needed to find the culprit. Soon, all the evidence leads her straight to Lord Adrian Webb.
Adrian is a roguish scoundrel of the first order, but he never meant to get caught up in a forgery scheme. Especially one that’s snowballed out of control. Now a blackmailer is out to ruin him, and the most alluring woman he's ever met is trying to put him behind bars.
Every time Marjorie thinks she has Adrian figured out, her assumptions turn on their head. He’s a heartless scoundrel. A loyal brother. A smooth liar. A good kisser. Er…wait… Is winning her affections just one more attempt to avoid the law? Or is it possible he’s not such a rogue after all?

My thoughts: I will never not love the Wynchesters; they are easily one of my favorite fictional families, but Marjorie's story was extra special to read because it not only starred one of the quieter Wynchesters but also because it brought the whole family together in a way that stood out from the previous books.
It was hard not to love Marjorie and Adrian right from the beginning. Yes, technically, both main characters specialize in the fine art of forgery (which we shouldn't be rooting for), but I couldn't help wanting these two to succeed in every task they attempted. They both had such a wonderful dynamic, and as much as I love seeing all the Wynchesters together, I loved seeing Marjorie and Adrian have their time together, too.
I've been waiting for Jacob to get his own book, but I'm glad Ridley gave Marjorie the chance to shine before Jacob and all his homing animals took center stage. Marjorie has always sort of been in the background, both in the plot of the previous books and within her own head. She had so much personality come through in this book, and she more than proved that she was deserving of the Wynchester name.
Erica Ridley's writing is always so fun and enjoyable to read. There's a great blend of action and plotting here, and even scenes that featured Adrian and Marjorie scheming in a room were entertaining to read. My Rogue to Ruin was another exciting chapter in the Wynchester story, beautifully highlighting one of the quieter siblings while giving Wynchester fans fun updates on how the previous couples are doing.
